This is something that I'm looking forward to so immensely that every time I think about it, I splooge a little.

Just a heads up, Paint is not better than Google maps for route planning.

Six of us plan to make the journey in a motorhome/camper van. Heading north first of all and sweeping the Mediterranean on the way back. It's about 11,000 miles (17,600 km) and we visit 31 countries:

UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Czech, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.

I'll probably update the blog in the future with places that we're going to visit; the Plitvice lakes, the Verzasca dam, the Millau viaduct etc.

Awesome, but why not Lisbon?
Ive done a lot of travelling around Europe and been in most countries there. The route that you've planned looks excellent.
wow... now THAT'S a road trip
Looks like an epic trip. I'm so jealous.
good luck with the trip! I'd love to do that!
oh I want to move to Europe so bad.
Let me know when you get in Holland and need a tour or something
It's a SQUID!!!!!!! Looks like an epic trip, though, wish I was coming. :(
I'm so jealous. I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy every moment you have
Looks like an epic trip, almost every country in Europe. Have fun, can't wait to hear about your adventures!
i can only dream of a Eurotrip, enjoy =D
That sounds like an awesome journey you have planned there. I would definitely do that if I had the time and the money. Good luck with it man and keep us posted
Check out the harbor in Hamburg. It is awesome.
Wow. That is uh, quite, the trip! :D
awesome, how long will it take?
are you coming to oslo? :)
Holy sweet travel length Batman! That is quite a distance you have here.
Going by RV is a good idea. The limitations of the rail would definitely hurt the ability to go wherever, whenever you wanted.
wow this is sure going to be really awesome. wish i had the $$ to do the same!
That sounds AMAZING!
My 10th grade English teacher went on a trip to Europe and came back and told us about it. It sounded awesome. :D
You can't ask for more, excellent schedule.
see you in Barcelona lol haha, btw seems to be a good good trip
Awesome! It would be really cool if you posted pictures as travelled =)
So jealous... that looks like an awesome route! I wish I could make a trip like that
Awesome sounds great!
Holland? It's called the Netherlands D:|
Give me a call whe n you're there, though. I'll show you the few sights we have~
Please define splooge.
It looks pretty cool.
Couple of suggestions:
Depending on when You'll be in Serbia, You should totally travel to Guca for Guca festival - this insanity has to be seen :).
I can see You're going to Poland's Capital - don't do it. One of my most disappointing trips ever.
I'd suggest going either to Cracow (cool old Jewish district, nice electronic club scene, actual shit to sightsee)
or Wroclaw (also called Breslau cos it's an old German city - lot's of green stuff, city's on 22 islands, a load of bridges, amazing jazz, rave and electro club scene. Also the center is THE center - so no moving from one part of town to another)
same thing with Norway - Oslo is cool and all but It has nothing super special there. Better choice would be Bergen. Especially that You're traveling by car. And this will allow You to see the Fjords, and they are simply amazing.
I like that You're going to Plitvice. I've been there in the '90s as a kid and LOVED it. My friends went there last year - apparently You cannot camp or swim in the lakes anymore and it all got really tourist-infested, but it's still beautiful.
Good luck on Your trip!
looks like a nice trip! :D
lol euro trip, looks like an awesome trip, The train would be your best bet for transport, but you don't get the same freedom as you do when you do a road trip :)
fuuuuuuuck. Super jealous of this. As soon as I start generating real income I'm totally taking a trip like this.
When you will be doing this? This could be a long long trip, heh.
Wow! That would be awesome!!
Wow, sounds like an awesome road trip! I'd love to take a real road trip, since I live on a relatively small island.
You're welcome to stay at our house 20 minutes outside of Trondheim, we have plenty of space!
Also, northern Sweden is basically just shit loads of trees. All over the place. If you want to see some spectacular landscape, drive from LuleƄ to Mo i Rana and take the Kystriksveien (http://www.kystriksveien.no/?lng=en) to Trondheim. Not quiet as spectacular as some of the fjords in western Norway or Lofoten, but more accessible by the looks of your route. :)
